About Dr. Zuckerman

Dr. Eric Zuckerman is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 39 years of experience in diagnosing and treating eye diseases in the Livonia community. He was the Residency Program Director in Ophthalmology at Botsford Hospital for 10 years and is a Fellow of both the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

He is also a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Zuckerman has performed over 13,000 cataract and implant procedures and given numerous presentations on the treatment and procedures relating to ophthalmology to both medical staff and patient groups. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the State University of New York in Buffalo and received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the University of Osteopathic Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed a general medical internship at Metropolitan Hospital in Philadelphia and his residency in Ophthalmology at Botsford General Hospital, now Beaumont Farmington Hills. When he is not providing eye care for his patients, Dr. Zuckerman is an avid golfer and has enjoyed practicing yoga since 1999. He and his wife were high school friends and have been married for 35 years.
